Articles on Theosophy and The Theosophical Society

The Theosophical Society, formed in New York in 1875 by H.P. Blavatsky, William Quan Judge, Henry Steel Olcott and others is the most recent outward expression of the Spiritual Teachings of The Ancient Wisdom.

Theosophy states that humanity is spiritual and thus immortal. That which we see as our physical being, believing this to be the real ‘us’, is merely, but importantly, a vehicle through which our spirituality is able to gain experience through this phase of the grand sweep of Evolution. We are Spirit in Matter. This process has always been happening and has no end. A wonderful rolling out of Consciousness.

Each particular Life is conditioned by causes set up in previous lives, as this life is conditioning future lives through the operation of Karma and Reincarnation. The Theosophical Society with International Headquarters in Pasadena, California carries the Teachings of Theosophy forward through the promulgation its basic concepts.
